Privacy Policy

When you play Harveston (the “Game”) Ringtail Interactive AB, reg. no. 556989-5906 (“RIAB”, “we”, “us” or “our”) may need to process your personal data. We strive to be transparent in what we do with your personal data and have therefore adopted this privacy policy. Below, you will find information on what kind of personal data we process, why we do it, what we use it for and how we may share it. RIAB is the data controller of the processing of your personal data.

What personal data do we process?

When you sign up for and play the Game, your user account will be connected to Apple’s Game Center or, if the possibility is offered by us, your account with Google or Facebook. When your user account is connected to Apple’s Game Center, or your Google or Facebook account, the following personal data may be collected by us: name, username, e-mail address, gender, birthdate, country and photo. The personal data received and processed by us depends on your privacy settings with Apple, Google or Facebook and their privacy policies.

Further, we process your IP address and certain information on your mobile device, such as device identifiers and settings. We will also process your location data since the Game is location based and connects your gameplay to your real-world location. Further, we will process i.a. your username, your game achievements and progress and the personal data provided by you when making payments in the Game or when you call or support or communicate with us in other ways.

Purpose and legal ground

We will only use your personal data for the purposes, and on the legal grounds, as set out below. We will not use your personal data for any purpose that is incompatible with the below purposes.

Provision of the Game. We will provide you with access to and use of the Game, including setting up your account, operating the Game, verify and confirm payments and deliver the services and products requested by you.

The processing is necessary for our performance of the contract with you (i.e. Terms of Use).

Development and improvements of the Game. We may process personal data to analyze, update and develop the Game and player profiles.

The processing is necessary for our legitimate interests to continuously improve and develop the Game and our services.

Support or other communication between us. When you i.a. request support through our support channels, we will process your personal data to be able to assist you with the relevant matter.

The processing is necessary for our and your legitimate interests to maintain good customer relations.

Investigations of fraud and/or misuse. We will process your personal data for the purposes of carrying out investigation of any suspected breach of the Terms of Use or the breach of other terms and conditions otherwise relating to you.

The processing is necessary for our legitimate interests to prevent misuse of the Game and to handle risks.

Recommendations and direct marketing. We may send recommendations on new games and features in the Game to you (as advertisement in the Game or by e-mail). The provision of these recommendations may be based on profiling on your previous choices when playing the Game.

The processing is necessary for our legitimate interest to maintain good customer relations.

Who do we share your personal data with?

We will only share your personal data with our suppliers engaged to perform services to us and only where necessary for the purposes listed in this privacy policy. Such suppliers provide, for example, external data storage, error-tracking in the Game, map and location services and analytics.

When you use social features in the Game we share your personal data with other players. Such personal data may include your profile data, in-game activities and public in-game messages. We will not share your location with other players.

International transfers of your personal data

We operate the Game across the globe and the suppliers we share your personal data with may reside, or process personal data, in a country outside of your home country and outside the EU/EEA. We make sure that any transfer of personal data from EU/EEA to outside the EU/EEA is subject to adequate safeguards as required under applicable data protection laws. Such safeguards include (i) that the country that your personal data is transferred to is a country that the European Commission has deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, or (ii) that we use the EU Model Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Third party services

The Game may include features from third parties, such as social media interaction tolls and in-game advertising (including rewards videos). These third parties may use cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies to collect or receive data about you and are the data controllers for the personal data it collects. Further, depending on which account you have, Apple, Google and Facebook may collect and process personal data when you use the Game in accordance with their privacy policies.

Storage periods

We will process your personal data as long as your account is active. If you have not been active in the Game for a period of 24 months, we will delete the account and all personal data. If you contact us and ask us to delete your account, we will delete the account and all personal data as soon as possible.

Location data will only be stored and processed during the time you are actively playing the game plus a period of a few hours.

Please note that the above storage periods do not apply to the extent we are required to retain your personal data (partly or in full) under applicable mandatory law (e.g. accounting laws).

Your rights

You are entitled to the following rights under applicable laws:

The right to access: you may at any time request to access your personal data. Upon request, we will provide a copy of your personal data in a commonly used electronic form.

The right to rectification: you are entitled to obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data and to have incomplete personal data completed.

The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): under certain circumstances (including processing on the basis of your consent), you may request us to delete your User Data. Please note that this right is not unconditional. Therefore, an attempt to invoke the right might not lead to an action from us.

The right to object: to certain processing activities conducted by the us in relation to your personal data, such as our processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest. The right to object also applies to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

The right to restriction of processing: you may under certain circumstances request from us to restrict the processing of your personal data. Please note that this right is not unconditional. Therefore, an attempt to invoke the right might not lead to an action from us.

The right to data portability: you are entitled to receive your personal data (or have your personal data directly transmitted to another data controller) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Finally, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the local supervisory authority (in Sweden, the Swedish Data Protection Authority).

Children

We do not allow anyone under the age of 13 to use the Game and does knowingly process personal data about or direct or target interest-based advertising to anyone under the age of. If you are under 13, please do not send any personal data about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. If we learn that we have collected personal data about a child under the age of 13, we will delete that personal data as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any personal data from or about a child under the age of 13, please contact us.

Changes to this Privacy Notice
